At birth, Hempie was known to the ancient eldritch deities as Hemiko. Unbeknownst to Hemiko, her birth had a purpose. As the model portrays, the stitches on her neck and thigh serve as a reminder of her younger self. She doesn't have a memory of the trials that she was put through, more so just a lingering feeling that something within her changed. The stitches themselves are remnants of the rituals that bound cosmic essence to her fragile human shell.Hempie is a delicate figure with long black hair that flows like a liquid shadow, adorned with a single white bow that seems to hum with an otherworldly glow. Her eyes tell a story of duality— one searing red, flickering like the dying heart of a star, and one black, like an endless void that swallows light. Her tentacles, elusive and spectral, shimmer into view only when her emotions fray, curling like whispers from the abyss.Hempie is often lost to sleep, her body buckling under the strain of its true self. These long rests are not mere escapes—they are descents into a labyrinth of visions, where cryptic voices and fleeting glimpses of her purpose haunt her. Each awakening leaves her grasping at fading truths, her stitches aching as if they might split, spilling the secrets she’s not ready to face.In the VTuber sphere, Hempie is a paradox—a sleepy yet whimsical enigma, who laughs off her glitches and oddities, while leaving her "hemplings" with a lingering question: is she streaming to entertain, or to prepare the world for what comes when she finally wakes?

How long have you been streaming?

I started in 2020 just to test the waters. Almost every stream was cast from my ps4 back then. In May of '21 I accepted my affiliate agreement, and shortly after I stepped away. I wasn't sure if I had a passion for it anymore and life was just too time consuming. In December '23 I officially returned with a cat girl PNG model, just to see what would happen. In May of '24 I debuted my first L2D model, remaining true to the "cat-girl" roots. By July of '24 I wanted a change, yet I was still unable to afford a true OC. I spent hours sifting and sorting through booth until I stumbled across the model I'm currently using. While I may not own the design, she feels exactly like what I've always wanted; until I can conjure up something better, I plan on sticking with the hempie you see before you today.

What made you choose the name "hempie"?

I wish I had a good answer for this but I simply do not know! When I first created my Twitch account I was merely a lurker. When I wanted to try my hand at streaming, my username wasn't what I wanted to be known as since it incorporated my real name. I've always been impatient and indecisive, so I just fired off the first thing I thought of; and "hempmiilk" was born! As time went on, less people called me miilk and more people started calling me hemp, hempie, hempers, etc. I found the nickname "hempie" to suit me really well and grew pretty fond of it. The more time that went on the less meaningful "miilk" felt to me, so in April '25 I made the decision to change all of my socials to just hempieVT!

What other hobbies do you have outside of streaming?

As someone with severe ADHD, I tend to have a lot more "ideas" than I do actual hobbies. I'm guilty of buying materials to paint, but never painting; items to start crocheting but never learning; programs and tools to try digital art but never practicing-- Growing up in the early 2000s, a lot of my passions were centered around html, coding, and editing. Although I don't have the time to learn or practice as much as I'd like to, it will always hold a special place in my heart. In more recent years I've also spent a lot of time trying to learn other languages such as Russian and Japanese-- I'm not confident that I've learned enough to have bragging rights, but I plan to continue learning and practicing these things whenever I can.
